Jolaine Frizzell

Jolaine is the Director of The Institute for Emerging Art where she develops and oversees its programmes and facilitates creative projects, forming partnerships with leading institutions regionally and internationally. She earned her MA in Art History from the University of Western Ontario (2004). Formerly a gallery director in Zurich, London and Dubai, she has worked for over 12 years in commercial galleries and was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the gallery including managing their yearly exhibitions, curation, business development, writing promotional material, developing artists' texts and establishing key relationships with cultural players. She has moderated discussions about creative practitioners, led seminar modules, and has written for ArtAsiaPacific and Canvas, among others.
