Donald (Four Arrows) Jacobs

Wahinkpe Topa (Four Arrows), aka Don Trent Jacobs, Ph.D., Ed.D., is a professor in the School of Leadership Studies at Fielding Graduate University. Formerly Director of Education at Oglala Lakota College, he is a Lakota Sun Dancer, Pipe Carrier, and made-relative of the Oglala. His research on Indigenous Worldview and decolonization is internationally recognized. Selected one of 27 visionaries in education for AERO’s text, Turning Points, and recipient of a Martin Springer Institute’s Moral Courage Award for his activism, his many books, chapters, articles, papers and presentations have received praise from such notables as Vine Deloria, Jr., John Pilger, Noam Chomsky, Henry Giroux, Thom Hartmann, Vandana Shiva, Tyson Yunkaporta, and more. A former world-class equestrian, he is a world champion old-time piano player. He lives with his artist wife Mexico and British Columbia. His most recent book, co-authored with Darcia Narvaez, is Restoring the Kinship Worldview: Indigenous Voices Introduce 28 Precepts for Rebalancing Life on Planet Earth (2022).
